For those looking for personalized care, especially when conventional options haven’t brought full relief, we blend Traditional Chinese Medicine with evidence-informed care to help you get to the root, support your body, and finally start feeling better.
At Eau Claire Acupuncture, we typically recommend a BioScan as the first step for individuals experiencing general inflammation or inflammation affecting specific systems, such as the gastrointestinal tract or nervous system.
Wondering how inflammation might show up in your body? Here are some common symptoms patients with high levels of inflammation typically report:
Sometimes, a collection of small symptoms or just the indicator that something just feels “off” with your body might signal that your body is dealing with inflammation. This can be due to an individual eating too many foods they might be sensitive to, nutrient deficiencies, toxin overload, or lifestyle imbalances. Reducing inflammation in the body and honing in on specific systems that might be inflamed can help target healing plans including dietary and nutrition adjustments or supplements and herbs to fill in deficits or support systems under stress.
A BioScan uses BioResonance Technology to assess patterns of energetic balance in the body, as understood within a bioenergetic and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) framework. In TCM, energy moves through meridians – conceptual pathways associated with specific organ systems and overall body function. These meridians are theorized to be associated with planes of fascia, specific proteins, nerves, and connective tissue planes, when explaining TCM concepts through a modern biological perspective (Shuang et al., 2021; Xiong et al., 2025).
Meridians can help to explain how different areas of the body communicate with one another. For example, pain or tension in one area, such as the arm, may be experienced elsewhere in the body. While Western medicine explains this through nerves and connective tissue, TCM interprets it as evidence of interconnected pathways throughout the body. Energy, in a biological sense, is conducted through ion flow in and and out of cells (Hung et al., 2020).
The BioScan uses meridian theory to test specific points on the hands and feet for baseline frequency conductance. Areas that have excessive energy conductance mean that area of the body has excessive inflammation. Low conductivity of energy means there is an energy deficit in an area. Conductivity refers to the very small application of energy that is run through different meridians in your body, creating a circuit to generate the final reading. Overall, our BioScan practitioner looks for balanced readings across your body and imbalanced areas to focus support on.

The BioScan first establishes balance and imbalance across your body. Once your baseline scan is complete, Grace tests known frequency data against your body. This assesses how certain foods, pathogens, toxins, or supplements might affect your body.
By testing known frequency data against an established balance in your body, she can apply these frequencies to your scan to see how your body specifically reacts to them. For example, dairy might throw off your balance, but someone else might be completely non-reactive. Or, specific viruses might be causing lingering inflammation in one person, but not the other.
This type of information allows us to pinpoint specific food sensitivities someone may have, supplements that will bring down inflammation for that individual, or identify if certain chemicals or toxins are causing inflammation.
Generally, the goal of the BioScan is to use objective data from your scan to create a plan that reduces inflammation in your body. This plan often includes supplements that may get rid of pathogens, such as candida or parasites, or provide nutrients or additional support to areas of the body that need strengthening.
Check our what one of our BioScan patients had to say and their inflammation reduction below:

The BioScan is a great first step to target a new routine your body is asking for.
We recommend starting with an initial bioscan to create your individual protocol. You’ll follow this protocol for a month and then repeat the BioScan to see the changes and progress your body has made. From there we can further pinpoint and adjust your protocol.
Healing inflammation is similar to remodeling a home- first we have to take out the clutter, then rip up the carpet, patch up the sub floor, and then we add new paint, fixtures, and flooring. The Bioscan works on your body in a systematic way going layer by layer to build a new baseline of health at the cellular level.
However, our Full Body Reset Program can kick-start detoxification and inflammation reduction in just a week.
Curious if the whole body reset program would be a good fit for you? Start with a free consultation to determine if you might benefit. Or, start with BioScan and ask about Core Restore (the supplement kit we use for your whole body reset) to determine if you specifically have liver inflammation, as liver support is one of Core Restore’s hallmark mechanisms.
Curious about what the Whole Body Reset program involves and how the Core Restore supplement protocol is different? This program is designed to help your body reset at a cellular level while gently shifting daily nutrition habits. It functions as a comprehensive liver support system, providing the liver with the resources it needs to operate efficiently. When paired with digestive and kidney support, the program enhances your body’s natural detoxification pathways, allowing toxins to be effectively eliminated. By kickstarting detoxification through targeted digestive support and intentional dietary adjustments, the program helps optimize metabolic function and promote long-term balance.
Did you know your liver is highly dependent on nutrients in order to run its main function?
The liver’s main function is to detoxify, which is accomplished through a few stages of liver activity. During these stages, the liver works to identify, neutralize, and safely eliminate toxins such as environmental chemicals, medications, alcohol, hormones, and metabolic waste.
This process requires a steady supply of specific nutrients to function efficiently. When nutrient stores are low or toxin exposure is high, these detox pathways can become sluggish or overwhelmed.
Supporting your liver with proper nutrition helps ensure these detoxification pathways run smoothly, allowing toxins to be processed effectively and removed from the body. When the liver is well supported, it can better maintain energy levels, hormone balance, digestion, immune function, and overall metabolic health.
Biotransformation is the process by which your liver converts toxins into forms that can be safely eliminated from the body (Phang-Lyn, 2019). Core Restore supplies key micronutrient cofactors, including B vitamins, amino acids, antioxidants, zinc, and magnesium, that are essential for optimal enzyme function and for maintaining balance across the liver’s detoxification pathways. It also provides the cellular energy required to support this energy-intensive process. Additionally, Core Restore’s clean sources of fiber and protein support digestive function, helping the gut work in harmony with the liver to effectively eliminate the toxins it prepares for removal.
Our patients who report using the Core Restore program often describe less bloating, more energy, and more mental and emotional clarity.
Booking a BioScan with Grace, our integrative nutritionist, is a powerful way to see how Core Restore supports your body. By assessing key body systems, Grace can recommend targeted supplements, nutrition strategies, and lifestyle adjustments that complement your results and help you transition smoothly after completing your detox.
